Words of Wisdom…

My husband teases me all the time about how he always knows when I am interested in something. Because when I am, I will buy a book on my Kindle, and Amazon will then thank him via email for his purchase. We share an account and I am sure sure their algorithms are wondering who this guy is. He seems to be interested in vegan cooking, ultra marathoning, social justice as well as genomics, and Wall Street disaster stories…

booksHere are some of my favorite books:

  • Turning Your Mind into an Ally by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
  • Ruling Your World by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
  • Sacred Path of the Warrior Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
  • Posture of Meditation by Will Johnson
  • Breath of Meditation by Will Johnson
  • Wisdom of No Escape by Pema Chodron
  • Lovingkindness: The Revolutionary Art of Happiness by Sharon Salzberg

If, like me, you spend more time in the car than reading on your couch, I am a big fan of podcasts from The Interdependence Project. The Interdependence Project is the work of Ethan Nichtern and a team of very inspiring people. They provide a lot of great resoruces for modern secular meditation instruction.
